Job Summary Macdonald & Company is exclusively retained by a growing development and investment firm in Dallas to appoint a Development Manager to help drive the next phase of its expansion within industrial development.This entrepreneurial real estate platform has built a strong reputation for identifying and executing high-quality industrial development opportunities and has an exciting pipeline of projects across North Texas. With significant growth planned, the company is looking for an experienced development professional who is eager to play a key role in shaping both projects and the future of the platform.Reporting directly to the President, this individual will oversee the full development lifecycle, from site evaluation and due diligence through entitlements, design, construction, delivery and stabilization. In addition to leading projects, the successful candidate will help establish scalable processes, mentor future team members, and contribute strategically as the business continues to grow.Key ResponsibilitiesLead industrial development projects from initial site evaluation through construction completion and stabilization.Manage due diligence, entitlements, permitting and municipal approvals.Direct architects, engineers, consultants and contractors throughout the development process.Oversee project design to ensure commercial viability, cost efficiency and alignment with business objectives.Lead contractor selection, procurement and contract negotiations.Manage project budgets, schedules, reporting and risk throughout the development lifecycle.Chair Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings and oversee construction execution.Coordinate with investment, capital markets, leasing and property management teams to ensure successful project delivery.Build strong relationships with municipalities, consultants, brokers, contractors and industry partners.Help create repeatable development processes and systems as the platform continues to expand.Mentor and help build a growing development team over time.RequirementsProven experience delivering industrial development projects from land acquisition through construction completion.Strong knowledge of entitlements, permitting, design management and construction oversight.Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously.Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and development proformas.Experience leading consultants, contractors and cross-functional project teams.A collaborative leadership style combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.Outstanding communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.Ambition to grow with a rapidly expanding development platform and help shape its long-term success.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a well-capitalized, entrepreneurial firm with an active industrial development pipeline and significant long-term growth ambitions.
